The quests that you get from the faeries happen at random. Here is a breakdown of which faeries give you what so you know whether it's worth it or not. For the faeries that give you stats, if they ask for items that may cost 1,000nps or more, it could be worth it considering buying a codestone to train on Mystery Island will run you at least 4,000nps

Air Faeire
Air Faeire - gives one of your pets speed. |
Dark Faerie
Dark Faerie - gives one of your pets endurance/hit points

Earth Faerie
Earth Faerie - feeds one of your pets and completely heals it. |
Fire Faerie
Fire Faerie - gives one of your pets strength

Light Faeire
Light Faeire - gives one of your pets a level. |
Water Faerie
Water Faerie - gives one of your pets defence.

Faerie Queen
Faerie Queen - supposedly raises a few of one of your pets stats. |
I suggest that you do not do any quests that the Earth Faerie gives you. You can go to the Healing Springs for free to get your pets healed and sometimes fed. And don't worry, if you refuse a quest nothing bad happens to your pets. You simply don't get another quest for a while (which could happen whether you had refused that quest or not anyway).

SNOW FAERIE
The Snow Faerie will ask for 2-4 items, usually chocolate, motes and faeries. Sometimes, you will get lucky and she will ask for cheaper items. In return, I think the average is 2,000nps, a snowball and another item (like a negg or a battledome item).
I suggest you only complete this if the items she wants do not include faeries and the more expensive motes. The reward is probably not going to be worth it in the end. But if you catch her in a good mood, and she asks for cheap items, go for it and sell the item she gives you in your shop to get back the nps you spent.
